Abstract
The «matter of Spain» is a complicated problem, both philosophical and historical. This article is the consequence of a dialog between a philosopher and a historian who want to explain where the origin of Spain�s matter is, which the characteristics are and how History and philosofic reflection can help Spain at the beginning of the XXI century.
