Zusammenfassung
This article relates the facts of the troubled days of the Spanish Republic in March 1939 and the Colonel Casado's useless attempts to find some help to evacuate the republican people. Among the fascist naval blockade and a series of confusing messages, Colonel Casado was able to leave the Gandia's port aboard on the Galatea. Meanwhile, at the Alicante's port thousands of misleaded republican people were waiting for boats that never arrived. This was an impossible escape.
