Résumé

Firms are dealing with the challenge of managing its information systems, controlling cost but, at the same time, achieving the strategic advantages that those systems can bring forward. For this reason, many firms are looking for external information technologies services, that could be sophisticate and also competitive and these firms don't hesitate to look for foreign providers, that is offshore outsourcing. Industrial firms in Spain traditionally haven't been in the vanguard of managing its Information Systems. So, in this paper, we try to understand the state of offshore outsourcing in Spanish industrial firms, and to do so we are going to analyse their motivations and reservations.
