Abstract
A detailed phytosociological and sintaxonomical analysis of the wood communities dominated by Quercus rotundifolia Lam. in the Valencia community is carried out. As starting point we took the evergreen oak communities described in the territory as well as those from close areas, and a series of new releves were taken in three provinces (Castellón, Valencia and Alicante). The result is a bioclimatic and biogeographic ordination of the sintaxa, trying, when possible, to offer a series of differential taxa, that in most cases have territorial value. The subassociation Quercetum rotundifoliae Braun Blanq. & O. Bolòs 1958 arenarietosum intricatae Rivas Mart. nova, inedit until now, is validated. The new combination Hedero helicis-Quercetum rotundifoliae Costa, Peris & Stübing 1987 ulicetosum parviflori (O. Bolòs 1967) Vicedo, Alonso, De la Torre & Costa, comb. nova is proposed
