Abstract
Novelties and considerations on Centaurea L. concerning the Valencian flora (eastern Spain): Data are reported on the Valencian-Tarraconensian (E of Spain) species of Centaurea sect. Willkommia, a group currently constituted by six taxa in that territory. After studying a huge number of collections from the Northern part of Valencia province and Castellón province, those six taxa are revisited and a new taxonomic arrangement is proposed. As a consequence, two new species are described: C. aguilellae (from the central-northern areas of Valencia) and C. fabregatii (from the central-eastern areas of Castellón).
