Abstract
Tourist and residential activities in the Valencia mountains.- We analyze the territorial dynamics that have been developed in Valencia mountain areas which benefited of regional development policies (LEADER and PRODER) since 1990. These dynamics are related to new rural functionality and, particularly, to the increasing economic weight that tourist activities have acquired in these inner areas. We analyze too the processes of urban diffusion on mountain areas associated with residential expansion to satisfy the demand of second residences by Spanish and foreign residents.
