Abstract
This paper analyses the various impacts resulting from the use of water gained through the Tajo-Segura and Júcar-Turia transfers, in agriculture, towns, industries and tourism, in the areas of Valencia and Murcia, as well as the environmental incidence of said transfers. It aims to invite, especially the decision makers in charge of territorial plannification, to think about the future economic development of the area which demands, in a short to medium term, an increase of the hydric disponibilities that have reached, because of the socio-economic dynamics, the top of their possibilities of use, with the exception of the Jucar basin.
