Résumé
The societies settled on semiarid regions adopted a particular land-use management (the terracing of hillsides and watering with muddy water generated by high intensity rains). Its aim was to minimize the shortage of rainfall and to develop a few little developed soil horizons. Based on a bibliometric analysis, this paper aims to highlight the interest that this management has received by different scientist collectives (geographers, historians, engineers or anthropologists). This study demonstrates how the interest in this subject has been strengthened in the past decade associated with the incorporation of new themes and topics.
