Zusammenfassung

Using cooperative techniques contribute to the development of the competences of the different subjects and of team work, which is a generic competence essential in the labour market. The objective of this chapter is to show different cooperative activities used in the subject English Language IV of the degree English Studies in order to observe how the selected activities involve the acquisition of communicative and emotional competences for students. A survey was prepared as research method with the objective of knowing students‘ opinions about this type of learning. The results of this study show that students are aware of the advantages of cooperative learning in the acquisition of competences. One of the main conclusions of this study is that cooperative learning allows students to acquire some essential competences for the labour market such as leadership or critical thinking.
