The presence of students with disabilities in Spanish universities has boosted research on their problems, proliferating creating services for students with disabilities. These experiences highlight that in the current university context, these students are more difficult than the general population because in addition to their own disabilities must overcome barriers arising from it, such as self-perception. The purpose of this study was to analyze the perception of college students with different types of disabilities (visual, being, intellectual or motor) compared to others without it, and to explore differences depending on the type of disability and gender. The sample was formed by 1316 students, being conformed the group of students without disabilities by 1193 students and 123 students with disabilities enrolled in different degree from the University of Alicante. Scale Rogers, Chamberlin, Ellison and Crean (1997) and a sociodemographic questionnaire was used. Multivariate analysis (MANOVA) were performed, showing that students with disabilities had a lower level of emotional and academic self-concept. They did not show differences in relation to the type of disability presented. These results are worrying, given their impact on personal and academic life; therefore, care teams students with disabilities should take them into consideration.
