Resumen

GRAPHIC MATERIAL, HERITAGE AND MEMORY: THE MODEL OF SAN JUAN BAUTISTA CHURCH OF ALICANTE (SPAIN). This article aims to argue, through the analysis of graphic material, the underlying content of one of the most notable cases of unresolved architecture in Alicante context, as it is the work unfinished of San Juan Bautista Church of Benalúa neighborhood. Because when architecture loses the ability to express, graphic material becomes heritage and memory, category to which -without delay- the model of San Juan Bautista Church of Alicante should increase. Through its analysis, this article shows the study of the missing elements, the ornaments defined in project in contrast to sober built volumes, and the main absence: the imposing tower with central pinnacle that more than thirty meters height should have culminated the Temple. Also, the study concludes interventions on the unfinished work that have been able to interfere with the true meaning of San Juan Bautis
