Hypertextuality, multilinearity, multimediality, interactivity and virtuality are revealed as distinguishing criteria of textuality in electronic texts, which are constructed and communicated using digital technology. In this paper we intend to describe and explain how these distinctive criteria operate in the specific framework of analog and digital literary narrative based on the combination of elements and / or itineraries. This will be performed through the interdiscoursive analysis of Il castello dei destini incrociati (1969), by Italo Calvino, and of Gabriella Infinita (2002), by Jaime A. Rodríguez Ruiz. The first is one of the clearest examples of fiction characterized by the interweaving of narrative units or sequences; the second is a literary text that has gone through the stages of traditional novel, hypertextual narrative and hypermedia built by means of the computer as communication channel.
