Resumen
The transmission in Catalan of the lives of saints during the early years of the printing press has some differences with to what we know on the transmission of this genre before it, during the handwritten manuscript period. This communication aims to compare hagiographical texts preserved in the Catalan literature since the Middle Ages to 16th century with those preserved in Spanish literature in order to see if the evolution of the genre in one and the other literatures has taken parallel paths or has diverged. We will draw some conclusions on the evolution and the dissemination of the hagiography in the Catalan literature and of the parallelisms and the differences that this evolution presents in regard to the diffusion of this genre in other literatures.
