Abstract

The sound flanking transmission is essential to study the overall acoustic isolation to air noise. To obtain the value of the vibration reduction index to know the acoustic behaviour of the whole constructive, it is necessary to know the velocity level difference and the structural reverberation time. In the Standard UNE EN 12354:2000 there are empirical expressions for obtained vibration reduction index. In the Standard UNE-EN ISO 10848:2006-1 there is a detailed procedure for calculating vibration reduction index. In this work, we compare the vibration reduction index calculated by 12354 and the vibration reduction index obtained by 10848. Measures have been carried out on a concrete model.
