The thesis carried out a mixed study, qualitatively (Documentary review, content analysis and focus group), quantitatively, not experimental-descriptive-transversal (validation of an instrument and application of surveys). Contributes from the qualitative point of view, the identification of issues in sports facilities management, construction of an inference about the disciplinary and permanent training of the sports manager and guidance for their qualification with contributions from sports managers-local experts. From the quantitative point of view, he designed, validated and applied an instrument for the measurement of labor competencies of sports managers and identified strategies for his disciplinary and permanent training, with the support of international experts. The emerging routes guide the professional and labor qualification of the managers, creation of a training system articulating the departmental sports entity, local and international universities and the generation of new disciplinary and permanent training centers through research lines in universities of the region.
