Zusammenfassung

This research aims to analyze, in detail, the incidence of parallel trials in the criminal process from the perspective of the principle of advertising. In the absence of specific regulations at the national level to put an end to those kind of problems, an exhaustive study of the controversy will be carried out in order to contribute, in procedural matters, as a guide to avoid the interference of the media by the mass media. In the development and protection of a fair trial. For this, it will be necessary and opportune to examine, from the perspective of comparative law, the Chilean legislation, as well as to weigh and determine the effectiveness and the possible incorporation of the Contempt of Court to the Spanish legal system. The study will conclude with a series of conclusions and proposals de lege ferenda whose main objective will be to strengthen the procedural guarantees by normatively reducing the pernicious effects of the parallel trials in the criminal process, for which, it will be necessary to find the right balance between the different interests at stake.
