Abstract

In the nursing profession is admitted that there is an autonomous aspect, a collaboration aspect and a dependent aspect. This doctoral student considered: Does the autonomous branch exist in hospitals? Does the hospital work organization allow the development of nursing autonomy? Two groups of nurses were studied: generalists and specialists. Aims Perform an analysis of the perception of autonomy between different groups of nursing professionals Methodology Quantitative and qualitative. The paradigmatic positioning was constructivism. The following materials were used for data collection:Self-developed sociodemographic variable questionnaire, the Nursing Work Index Nurse Practice Environment Scale, and in-depth interview, Results Five categorizations were performed that joined the initial question, and where we found significant differences between the three groups. Conclusions It is advisable to vary the organization of the work to enable the development of the autonomous slope of the nursing.
