Abstract

We have studied the effects that Santolina Chamaecyparissus infusions eyedrops have on free-radical saturation in an experimental model of free-radical corneal inflammation (Alloxanic model). The results of our study show that Santolina Chamaecyparissus eyedrops cause a significative decrease in the chemoluminescense levels of the alloxanic model and, hence, that such treatment has a significative effect oh free-radical scavenging in corneal inflammation.
