Abstract
Since the 80�s the toys industry has established the pillars of its survival against the foreign competition through a continuous process of transformation. However, in recent years, the Spanish toys industry faces a complex situation that requires the adoption of new strategies based in factors as diversification, innovation or cooperation in order to keep its competitiveness. In this article is analysed the strategies followed by the Spanish toy industry with a special focus on the industrial diversification process in the toys district of the Foia de Castalla
